Clinical Cupping Therapy

The medical clinic is approved by the Ministry of Public Health. Each treatment is performed to the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

We integrate modern clinical practice with complementary medicine, and Hijama  as described in the Sunnah. We keep track of scientific research and aim to participate in it.

What is Cupping Therapy?

In Cupping Therapy, suction cups are applied to the skin. The superficial suction spots on the skin invoke reactions inside the body that can help with healing, recovery, detoxification, relaxation and rejuvenation.

There are different types of cups, and different ways to use them:

  • Dry cupping

  • Massage cupping

  • Flash cupping

  • Wet cupping. Wet cupping is also known among Muslims as “Hijama”. It’s a remedy recommended in the Sunnah.

In Wet Cupping Therapy (WCT) aka Hijama, not only suction cups are applied to the skin, but also superficial scratches for controlled bloodletting, to treat a variety of acute and chronic health problems. Hijama is also beneficial for general health & wellbeing and as a preventive health measure.

Cupping in all its forms have been practiced for many centuries in different parts of the world. Cupping Therapy is now becoming increasingly popular in the West, for example among health-minded Hollywood celebrities and among athletes, as it can reduce pain, inflammation and speed up recovery time, among things.
